If local state and the federal government dealt with businesses as businesses perhaps they would be more prepared to deal with the Miriad tiers of government who seem to have no idea how to organise eg a government tender

Perhaps if the more than half the workforce of government workers were reduced to around 20% instead of 51% we would all be alot better off at not having to deal with so many government workers at every turn

We have been told by successive govts since 2007 ie for the last nine (9) years that our woes are caused by the GFC in other words the fault of other ( socialist ) governments around the world and to some extent this is true but this is like a manufacturer or software house basing their ideas on what their product should do based on other companies are doing without any vision or foresight about what is required in the first place it is blindingly obvious to any of the other 2.1 million abn holders in Australia what needs to be done namely a reduction in bureaucracy red tape eg 100 hrs per annum tax reporting on top of a complete disincentives to Excell even the hecs system is a recipe to underachieve this coupled with the unlevel playing field of domestic taxation eg no tax revenue from foreign online purchases below a $1,000 ceiling and so many rules regulations and even penalty rates as a complete disincentive to employ an Australian workers - this is the fundamental reason why no one is able to or even wants to invest in Australian manufacturing agriculture mining or startups and with more than half the workforce working for the government it comes a little surprise that anyone wants to startup a business here because it is nigh on impossible at every level of local state and federal government until this is addressed the economy is doomed

But the present incumbents will work it out one day - no they won't because they are not even listening and nothing is going to change until we have a change of direction to a more successful economy without burdening the wealth and tax generating economy with more bureaucracy and taxation when the present prime ministers best shot is to recommend having seven different tax departments around the country it is time for a change that is long overdue Nor is any blame placed on the banks who make between 1% and 2% (eftpos credit card) on every transaction ie $730 billion - $1.460 trillion (excluding interest ) and yet are declaring only $9 Billion a year profit and yet most of mankind lives in poverty little wonder that Merchant bankers associate Malcolm Turnbull and Wallace are promoting having seven more state tax departments rather than a 0.5% in/ out cr /dr GGST that will generate $730 billion and free the economy of a score of other taxes and their bureacracy
